This is a high performance buck/boost DC/DC converter that doesn't care about the input voltage but will step down or step up to the desired output voltage as required. I tested it with 2 x 8.3V 18650 batteries. Then this converter can give me 5V or 30V output voltage after I rotate the control knob accordingly. It works as advertised and expected, however there are two things to note: Changing the output voltage from 5V to 30V takes a lot of time! The dial changes the increase/decrease step by 0.01V which is good and accurate but at the same time it's like changing 2500 steps/increments, it takes me about 23 minutes to ramp the voltage from 5V to 30V change It's more human-friendly if it can either "accelerate" with faster rotation or provide a "fine" as well as a "coarse" change, e.g. B. 0.5 or 1 V with up / down. The UI is really hard to navigate, although it's still possible but not impossible, the UI is hard to navigate to a specific setting. It's good to use variable voltage within range, fixed output and limited output current, which is great for battery charging and some other projects that require predefined voltage and current limit.
