I went to my local parts store and paid $56 for a coil. It was good business for the 15-year-old Honda rider. It only had 145k on the odometer and only gave code P1399 after I reinstalled all the missing coils and spark plugs. Be sure to check the resistance before installation, everything is well checked. There was then another code P0304 intermittent misfire on cylinder #4. Thinking it was a clogged fuel injector I didn't want to do the job. If I were young and healthy I would do it. Took it to a friend's shop and he said he drove the SUV into his garage and the problem went away. Now it works great. BUT it still doesn't know why the error stopped and it doesn't go through the code.
