Review on ☂️ Compact Travel Windproof Umbrella for Convenient Folding by Christy Jordan

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not so good for luggage and travel essentials

I like the umbrella open although it wobbles a bit in heavy rain. It's not exactly automatic opening and closing. It opens fully automatically, but it's good if it closes semi-automatically. It doesn't fold back, it just folded the top and you have to push it very hard into the closed and locked position yourself. Trying to get this umbrella back to the fully closed position takes some strength, and if you're lucky you won't lose a chunk of your arm in the process. The part of the handle you grab to lower the whole mechanism is made of hard plastic and is very slippery when wet. This thing slipped out of my hand and popped out like "hit the mole" until I just pushed it against a hard surface to close it while trying to get in the car. The whole point of the purchase was to minimize my exposure to holding a tablet with papers and a computer in one hand when getting in and out. This umbrella actually did the opposite. I ended up tossing my work essentials over the seat to keep them dry while fumbling with the umbrella, trying to get it closed all the way. I have used this umbrella in heavy rain and 40km/h winds and to be honest it was spinning on the frame. I'm disappointed in the product but grateful I don't need stitching when trying to close the item in the rain.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good
