After such careful selection I bought 2 of these for my young adult sons. They fold up more than expected but are too small when opened.

Keeps me dry and waterproof (material wipes water away) but definitely turns in the wind so I don't consider it windproof.

I bought this umbrella to have a strong umbrella in strong winds and an easy raising and lowering mechanism. Well this is a very good sturdy umbrella and comes in a nice carrying case. However, it is very difficult to press the buttons to open and close, the buttons do not press very easily and if you have nails it is almost impossible to press them. In general, I like the umbrella.

I have been outside in gusty winds and so far this product has not worked for me. Very well made, the weight is ok and the durability is great. On 11/22/2019 a very strong gust of wind blew straight towards me, so I decided to close the Van Beeken umbrella. At this point, one of the struts broke, making it impossible to close. I was wondering if this damaged windshield would be replaced under the manufacturer's warranty?
