As previously mentioned, the ball joint does not tighten enough. My biggest problem is inserting the speed ring. It's rubbery and grippy so the speedring doesn't spin around it smoothly. Being rubber, it also bulges out from under pucks trying to keep it in the speed ring. Worst of all, there is a screw that connects the speed ring insert to the vertical bracket and flash assembly. This means that the entire speedring insert, including the speedring and softbox, will tend to rotate on the support rather than between the insert and the speedring as it should. The weight of the speedring and softbox combined with their size act like a wrench with tremendous leverage to loosen the bolt holding the two pieces together. This thing requires a lot of care and dexterity to get the lighting direction right. It's not worth the time messing with it. I bought 2 of these so I know it's not a one off bad part. It's just not very well designed.
