I first tried this kite with my grandson on the beach. What can go wrong? ;-) Well, nothing in this case. This is a beautiful and big kite. Very well designed and executed. fiberglass rods (instead of wood); rotatable attachment of a kite to a spool with a braided line. The kite took off immediately and quite high. The grandson had no problems maneuvering. Flying a kite on the beach with your grandson for the first time can lead to disappointment. Not on this day! Nice experience for everyone. I'll probably take a few more. And their coils look like they're worth a try. *** UPDATE - Unfortunately after only 2 flights the "tails" wear out. While the kite still flies well - and I expected it to wear down a bit over time - it's quite disappointing that this has happened in just two flights!
