My hairdresser always told me that with a hair dryer it's not how hot the air is that matters, it's how fast the air blows. In the past I've always bought what was on the shelf at my local OEM cosmetics store and always maxed out at 1474 watts. Phenomenal 2200W hair dryer. As other reviewers have noted, it's a bit heavier than other lower-wattage models, but the power of the airflow cuts drying time significantly. Hair dries twice as fast and not even hot, just warm. This will definitely prove to be healthier for my hair. Highly recommended.
