Review on Goodyear Ultra Grip Ice Arctic 195/60 R15 88T winter by Wiktor Marciniak ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

Decided to add a review. Now I ride Ice Arctic on a Lancer 9 in size 195/60 r15. Nexia continues to ride sister. For three seasons, I never doubted my choice. Quite stable and predictable on all surfaces. It's not scary on winter asphalt. He is not afraid of snowdrifts and snow porridge, he had to fly out onto an uncleaned roadside from a fool in an oncoming lane - he taxied without consequences, except for shaking his pants out into the bushes :-). Tested at -47 on the track (January 10, 2022 on the Nyagan-Serov track) - indeed Arctic. The loss of spikes on the Lancer for the 2022-2022 season - 2 each on the drive wheels, mileage of about 12,000. I didn’t count exactly on the Nexia, but they are minimal, no more than 15% in three seasons. No hernias and breakdowns on both machines. Noise decreases after 500 km. run but still could be quieter. Regions of operation: Hong Kong, Sverdlovsk region, northern settlements of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. Location: Hong Kong. 3120222022; Auto: Daewoo Nexia; Tire size: 175/65 R14; Compare with: mishlene x-ice north 175/65 R14 (past seasons) and mishlene energy 185/60 R14 (summer). Let me share my first impression. Morning, clear weather, dry asphalt, -9 degrees overboard, the first trip on new winter tires. We accelerate above 40 km / h and hear a growing rumble, and the rumble changes its character depending on acceleration, braking, or simply turning off the transmission. We drive further, the speed is 60-70 km / h, the rumble in the cabin resembles a helicopter. It is felt (after summer sneakers) that the rubber floats somewhat when changing lanes. We leave for the ring road, the speed is 70-80 km / h, we don’t have to catch the car, in some places some rutting is not felt, small bumps in the road surface are not felt, the helicopter drone in the cabin is monotonous and constant . Bottom line: running a day about 170 km, the average temperature overboard is -3, the impressions were twofold. I attribute all the shortcomings to insufficient winter conditions and lack of rolling.

Pros
  • - handling (does not get scared on any surface) - reliability (strong, spikes lose moderately)
Cons
  • - noisy
