In general, it was very difficult to find the right BT -> Aux device for my car. Especially if most of them contain a battery, which is undesirable in a car, where the device is constantly connected to the network and can have high temperatures. That fits the bill. It streams decent BT music. Compared to the slightly more expensive BT portable DAC, which also has aptx support, the SoundTek A2's sound is a bit inferior (especially the base), but that's okay. You plug it in and your phone connects. Thanks to the support of codecs, the music from it is much better than from most built-in Bluetooth devices in the car. The BT connection is ok, I noticed it stuttering a couple of times but overall it's good. If you have an Android phone, there are third-party apps that can automatically launch and play music when it detects your phone is connected to the SoundTek A2, which is nice. Build wisely - it feels unreliable, but the little music control puck is surprisingly useful. You can't skip songs with the car controls, so this button comes in handy. Hopefully the next version will have Aptx-HD support, so if you stream TIDAL you can get even better quality music.
