Review on ACDelco Gold 335-1196 Alternator: Unparalleled Performance for Ultimate Power by Bob Candfield

I bought this alternator to replace the original factory alternator on my 2008 Chevy Tahoe which was showing the 'Battery Charging Service System' message. I must say that it was delivered on time and very well packaged! I installed it myself and required minimal mechanical skill with just a few tools. So far it has worked flawlessly. I have not yet tested the charging system and since the replacement this message has been appearing at least 3-4 times a week in weather conditions for about 3 weeks. A NOTICE. If you haven't changed your serpentine belt in a while, do it while you have it and it's very easy. Hope that helps.
