At first it charges with a USB cable but once you fix it to the wall or ceiling with the tape already attached then good luck to you . It has to be removed from the existing wall/ceiling to charge - this will destroy the adhesive strip on the back making it useless if you want to put it back where it was. since the adhesive strip no longer works. So you need to change it if you want to use it on the wall. Also, it's not as bright as advertised, even when fully charged. The USB cable is so short that you really need to keep it close to the charging station. .I had high hopes for it but I regret buying it. I already threw the package away, otherwise I would have returned it long ago. It's not worth the price I paid for it.
