I inherited a DVD-DL reader/writer from a friend's mother. But it was in a large HP tower that I didn't need, so I started looking for an external DVD enclosure for a full size DVD device. I don't know much about the computer business, but the cheapest DVD case on Revain or e-Bay was around $50. God, I could buy two skinny DVD-DL recorders in cases for that. Luckily I can use a full size DVD box with this product, but it is not included. Better than nothing and for $12 it's a good value and it works well.
