The module itself was easy to install but getting there is another story. (PITA BREAD!). In any event, the module's wiring matched my factory wiring harness exactly on my 2000 Sierra 4x4, so it was as easy as cutting off the existing connector and plugging the included connector into my wiring harness. This module comes with all the necessary hardware to make this connection. If your wiring does not match the new connector, the instruction manual that came with the module will show you how to properly connect the new connector. I also bought a new ACDelco TR14 Ring Fuel Sendor and new Dorman 800-016 fuel line clamps, a set of GM/Chrysler fuel line retaining clamps because my truck is 12 years old and I thought it would be easier to replace everything with each one. new details. If you decide to order fuel line clamps make sure you get the one I added from the link as you will need BOTH sizes (3/8" and 5/16"). I also bought a new ACDelco GF652 fuel filter so I have all new parts from the pump to the filter. Okay, I decided to remove the body of my truck instead of dropping the tank (again, 12 year old plastic and Murphy's Law). Let me warn you. It's still PITA whether the tank is dropped OR the bed is removed. I ended up buying a 1 ton motor lift and load leveler to store the platform. If you have 3 good buddies to help you out of bed, you might not need to spend any extra money (except for drinks for your buddies, of course). Even though I spent the extra money it was MUCH LESS than what the dealer asked for the job (but now I understand why they charge so much). As usual, Revane came, and everything came quicker than I expected. This module is great and worked like a champ. The fuel gauge worked immediately and the truck idled like new again.
