These clamps easily replace the original clamp clamps. The variety involved distant guessing as to what size to buy for a particular hose. The only thing I didn't really pay attention to was the packaging - they come in a handy little plastic case which isn't that handy when putting away unused ones. The smallest is about 2 inches OD (outside diameter); the largest is about 4 inches OD. They are all threaded about halfway around the clamps. They are NOT intended for small applications such as heater hoses or transmission coolant lines. I will buy them again if needed.
