I ordered a pet cleaner and filter. The filter was ordered back so we went to the air purifier 2 weeks early. When the pet filter arrived I replaced the original filter with a more expensive pet filter. Although it only worked for two weeks, the original filter that was sucked out of the air was substantial and disgusting and our place is kept VERY clean. We've made it to reduce allergies and while I can't comment on how effective it is compared to medication and other relief measures, I can say it does an amazing job of cleaning the air. Also, the night environment is very quiet and I sleep easily. I couldn't sleep with this thing at altitude, but during the day at altitude it's not too bad. Quiet white noise but not so annoying that it bothers you while watching TV. It's been a great purchase for us so far.
