Bought this transceiver to replace a damaged one. Connected to laptop. Drivers are loaded automatically (Windows 7 Pro 64-bit). Downloaded and installed Unifying software from the Logitech website. Connect the transceiver to the trackball M570. Viola! Got my wireless trackball back! The software says the transceiver can connect to 6 devices. Once a transceiver is paired with a device, it can be moved to other computers without having to be paired again. The merging software is convenient for separating and pairing. It's a good idea to have it on other computers as well, imo. The exterior/open face (front) of the device is a flat rectangle with a very low profile (good thing). The original that came with the M570 wasn't. which contributed to it being damaged during my travels.
