Well it fits exactly where the previous lock was. "Left/Right" selection is based on outside view [via keyboard]. I skipped that at first, but you can also set it through the app, not just with a switch in the device. Overall, the physical build for the replacement was very simple. The logical setup is fine too, but again you need to understand that you connect LOCK to your ttlock phone app THEN add the G2 gateway through the already setup app, not the other way around. After that it took me a bit to play around with the application but I did everything. Overall I'd say 2 hours + some game time later - but it seems to be working fine. Considering everything costs less than $150, I'd say it's a good thing -- assuming the company stays in business for years to come. Have codes for all family members so they can all use the keyboard now. I haven't played with electronic keys yet, but I'm sure they will work just fine too. I like the ability to check status and take action online. YES security has always been and always will be an issue so I have a camera inside as well as a ring so I can check things but I get less than a minute notification every time the lock is triggered. I didn't understand how to get a notification when the lock is manually locked/unlocked from the inside (by turning the knob). I would like to be informed about status changes. All in all he does what he has to do and I am satisfied. It can run on a 9V battery in emergency mode, and of course there are keys.
