I bought these to use as analog readers for various things from the microcontroller. They have a reasonable lag in the arrow's movement and don't lag behind too much. In terms of accuracy, you're pretty limited by the resolution of your eye relative to the back. I haven't taken any serious measurements, but they appear to be linear and, after a slight adjustment of the calibration screw, will give 5V when 5V is applied and 0V when 0V is applied. As an aside, they have plenty of room. to install a small diffused LED for lighting purposes.
