(Condition: I have plantar fasciitis.) The shoes themselves are very nice and don't look like orthopedic shoes at all (big plus for me). It has good heel cushioning and outsole support. I walk heavily on the outside of my foot, so this foot and ankle alignment correction is helpful (although it's a bit odd until I get used to it). Support. I've tried other orthopedic shoes (Vionic) and they have way more physical arch support than the Propet. But the price was good and it works well as a regular hiking shoe. I can't say for sure that it relieves my sole pain.
