If you want this UV lamp to work 24/7, just connect it to 125V and it will work. On the other hand, if you want it to ONLY work when your HVAC fan is triggered to disperse warm or cold UV treated air, you'll need to hook it up through a current sensing device. That way your light doesn't wear out as quickly and the bulbs don't just burn up in your ducts doing nothing or processing the air going through your system. Fan on, UV lamp on. Fan OFF, UV Lamp OFF Just a helpful tip to extend the life of your UV unit and also save on your light bills.
