Review on Fusion MS BT100 Bluetooth Dongle Marine by Justin Hines

I recently bought a new car with BT for calling but I wanted to add audio support. High quality adapter with good sound, easy to use and no electrical interference. I don't know what has happened to the BT adapter market in the last year or so, but I've tried many different adapters. and each of them suffers from some kind of design problem. These are usually audio prompts that aren't internally muffled, so they play at MAXIMUM volume through your stereo, giving you a heart attack every time you connect. It's especially confusing when the clue is a recording of a woman with an incomprehensible Asian accent. Other issues include electrical noise, poor audio quality, or dropouts. Eventually I started looking for wired adapters because I didn't want to take up a USB port or 12V outlet in my car. I've tried several different adapters, thinking it was for use at sea with the manufacturer's own gear. This is a simple BT adapter that works with almost anything. I am really impressed. After all the junk I had to go through to find a quality adapter, I'm glad I finally found it. Pros: * Excellent sound quality. Keep in mind that we're talking about Bluetooth V3.0 here, so don't expect miracles, but I haven't found anything that bothers my ears.* Audio prompts are simple beeps that are informative, not distracting, and not too loud.* The unit appears to have a ground loop isolation circuit as it did not suffer from electrical noise like the previous unit I used. Cons:* Audio can be *slightly* loud on some apps. I have found that I need to turn the phone volume down one notch from maximum to avoid distortion on the OEM head unit input.* Auto reconnect does not work. Other reviewers have claimed otherwise, and if there hasn't been a firmware revision, that's dead wrong. The device I purchased won't try to reconnect after a power cycle. Basically I solved this problem with an app, but if MFG is listening, please fix it in the next version and officially announce it as a feature.
