Review on HP Pavilion 15 Laptop 2021 - Ryzen 5 5500U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 15.6" HD Touchscreen, Windows 10 - Business, Study, Entertainment by Bhavin Srivastava ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very high quality product, it's not the first time I bought it.

The all-metal body, though painted or coated, through which the metal texture is visible, looks very cool. Nimble: SSD + Ryzen 7 (5700) gives excellent speed. An important point of AMD's naming: we have on board not Zen3, as it might seem, but Zen2, so be careful if this is important. Klava glows, but only 2 modes, which do not differ much in brightness. I can't say that it annoys me, if they did 3, it would be ideal, especially for those who like to work in the twilight, like me. There are 2 USB ports (Type A + Type C) with increased power supply - charge your phone or connect an external HDD, but there are 3 connectors in total - this is not enough, but rather a nitpick. In order for you to understand the specifics of my quibbles, I work not only with documents and office programs, but also with graphic packages (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Axure RP, Figma), so some points are extremely important to me. The screen is normal, in terms of colors, illumination uniformity, etc. But the contrast is not enough. I like to work in dark rooms, so turn the brightness to minimum or close to minimum. At home, by the way, there is a 27 "monoblock from HP and there is just a masterpiece screen with an incredible level of contrast. I thought that it would be the same in this screen, but no, sometimes there is not enough contrast. Separately, it is annoying that the screen does not recline at a very large angle, this directly spoils life very much, especially if you work with a stand. And quiet speakers. In total, an excellent workstation, nimble, economical (long battery life), stylish and enough for the eyes, there are nitpicks, but the price is more than affordable. As a mobile workstation, I am completely satisfied, not without flaws, but there is nothing fundamentally better for such a price. There is a moment - with Win 11 it began to work much less, 4 - 6 hours versus 6 - 8 on Win 10, but this is no longer a complaint to the computer.

Pros
  • metal case Looks good Nimble Powerful USB Long battery life
Cons
  • The screen is not a fountain The dumbest power connector (there is a needle in the center of the connector, why, although it hasn’t broken so far, it would be better if they did charging via USB C) Need more USB Lack of screen angle
