I used HP and in particular EliteBooks for a long time, the last 840 G1 is still alive, so I settled on this series. 745 is similar to 840, but on AMD. It is a pity that the new 845 G7 series with Ryzen 4k has not reached us yet. Integrated AMD video is much more powerful than Intel, although I'm still a gamer, but sometimes I indulge. The quality of materials and assembly is very pleased, no gaps (even joints are difficult to notice), backlash, one aluminum. Opens with one hand. Easy to understand. Screen - this line has a dozen different screens and you need to choose carefully. They are all IPS FHD, but there are 250 nits, 400 nits, 1000 nits with SureView. More often comes across 250nits, he is pale, he lived with this in 840 G1, it is hard to see on the street. I watched the video about 1000 nits SureView and discarded it - the viewing angles are terrible with SureView turned off, there are a lot of complaints about it. Took with 400nits - excellent screen, very happy that I chose this option. The trackpoint - a rubber pip - as usual with HP has not changed for 15 years, after a year it should be lost as usual . The touchpad is pleasant, like glass, the keys are disguised (the edge of the touchpad is pressed). The webcam has a shutter. The keyboard - I overlooked that it was mutilated, before that, everything was conservative with the Elitebook keyboard and at first glance nothing has changed since the 840 G1, but no . Insert is no more, absolutely! Instead of scroll lock, pause, insert, they made newfangled keys for calls and presentations. It spoiled the impression, you have to get used to it (it is possible to enable combinations, Fn + E = Insert, but I would just like backwards compatibility). F keys - through Fn, but you can do Fn lock. The tactile keyboard is the same as on other Elitebooks, nothing special. Illumination (depending on configuration) of two brightness options, white. Cooling is satisfactory, for such a thin case - good. Without load it is not audible, with a load it is audible, but tolerable.
