Excellent set, everything as in the description. Good rocks and a bamboo base block to hold them. The stones are a good size, 2.25 inches wide and 7 inches long. Instructions are weak with limited information on half a piece of paper. They say you have to watch youtube videos to learn how to sharpen. The knife guide didn't work on most of the knives I tried. This only works with a knife with exactly the right blade width and with a straight blade parallel to the guide. Any knife with a curved blade will not work. That's pretty much every knife I own. The setting stone is amazing. I have used it to repair my badly worn stone that I have had for 30 years. I flattened it out with new finishes on both sides in less than 30 minutes. I checked the new 400/1000 stone for flatness out of the box, it looked flat but after marking the surface in pencil and sanding the two together it was obvious it wasn't flat on either side. It took 3 rounds of pencil marking/removal before I was comfortable with the stone slab. The process is quick and only takes a few minutes. It took longer to take the photos than to complete the work. The bamboo stone holder worked well when wet, gripped my Corian countertop and didn't slide, rubber pads prevented the stone holders from moving in the block. It took about 5 minutes. on my chef's knife, now he's shaving his arm hair. All in all a good kit, everything you need plus what you don't need - gloves and instructions. The guides are only used to give an idea of the correct sharpening angle. When I saw the angle I took it off the knife and tried to keep that angle on the curved part of the blade. This is not easy and requires practice. I can't say I'm good at it, even after 40 years of trying, but there's no better way to get my knives decently sharp than with whetstones. i would buy again
