Ideal for external USB hard drives. I send them all over the world and they protect them perfectly. retail price! On PX/BX they cost up to $34. I bought them at Revain for between $14 and $20. 1020s (size for USB hard drives, not big for USB and AC connection). I noticed that the clear lid is better. It's just as hard as spot colors (although they don't look like they are), and it's a lot easier this to ensure you do not clamp the USB cable with a cover. external ones do, but I couldn't justify the cost ratio for my data importance. When your data is critical, cost is not an option and they will protect it. I always buy 2 larger hard drives and use one to back up my data. So if one fails, I immediately replace it and make a fresh second copy (I have 6.4TB of data at a time, but I have 12 for 1 for 1 backup). I keep the original boxes they come in (I prefer Seagate) and they ship well in it.
