I've worn one of these on my right wrist for years, usually while typing. My left arm started to hurt a lot a few months ago. I took x-rays and visited a few doctors who found no major damage and assumed it was fibromyalgia. Now I almost always wear them on each hand. New for my left hand took a few months to get comfortable. The device just didn't fit in my hand, like it was spinning in an awkward direction. I think the material has finally come loose and loosened up a bit so that it's no longer uncomfortable to wear. My typing is less painful but more awkward, and the brace sometimes accidentally hits the wrong keys. I also sometimes wear them when I play the piano so my fingers can move freely.
