THIS LITERALLY FRIED MY MOTHERBOARD ON MY GAMING COMPUTER! I have a $2000 gaming laptop and was trying to install a new SSD for better performance and I used WD recommended migration software. First my computer started with a black screen. To test the SSD I also put it in my friend's laptop and the same thing happened. I took out my HDD and left the SSD in to see if anything changes. After that, my laptop wouldn't turn on anymore. No light when charging, tried several solutions but nothing happens. I had to go for a Samsung SSD because they have their own migration software. I'm so angry because now I have to buy another $2,000 computer so I can do my freelance work. It's all because I bought an SSD and used the migration software recommended by WD. Lawyers are cheaper than $2,000. Returning the product at this stage does not cover the cost of the damage.
