Well after learning, grunting and gasping, I pulled the trigger. I bought two of these sets which made me 20 grand. That's enough to cover my whole house. I gave away the second base and the keyboard. The only complaint I have is that I can't connect more than one camera, which is pretty sure user error. All in all, this is the perfect set. If you need a security system at a reasonable price, buy this kit. Two of these are SMALLER than the largest set on Simplisafe and you get more detail!
