Review on iUniker Raspberry Pi 4 Case with Cooling Fan and Heatsink - Simple Removable Top Cover for Pi 4 Model B/ 4B (Model M) - Black by Nick Mosley

Good product, great price!

After looking at a few different case models I settled on this one as it had good reviews and was pretty good value for the case, fan, heatsinks and even features the rubber feet to keep it from sliding around. The case fits comfortably around my Raspberry Pi 4 B, has a nice matte finish and a few holes for ventilation. The fan sits flush in the middle and is screwed on. The middle layer is also bolted to the bottom layer, making it harder to take apart, but also means the Pi is protected. For me, the fan blows onto the Pi and out through the holes above the heatsinks and pinhole. Title. There are vents on the bottom of the case, but there isn't much room for air from the fan to flow around the edges of the Pi. What I particularly dislike is that the USB-C and micro-HDMI ports are recessed behind the bezel. which is a decent thickness (about 2-3 mm or 1/8 inch). With the HDMI adapter I have, it looks like it fits completely into the port, but there's no extra clearance. TLDR: If the frame covering the ports on the side of the Raspberry Pi was made a bit thinner and the ventilation was a bit better, this case would definitely get 5 stars. As it is, it's a solid case with a good design and an excellent price. This makes it a great option for those running their Raspberry Pi under a decent load, so need some cooling, or who need a rugged case to protect their computer.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • No paint required
