I bought three different brand tie up braces, and this one is the best of the three for me. I have high arches, and swelling from an injury. The reason I like this one better is that it has elastic at the Achilles heal area and the front strap that goes around your ankle. I am able to adjust the shoe laces so it does not hurt the top of my foot, and have the support needed for recovery. Also important is that the velcro hook side is facing inward on all velcro parts, so, when worn it does not ruin the fabric of your clothing. I read that someone was concerned that the wrapping part that goes around the foot was not starting at the ankle. This is because of the placement of the elastic for the heal area, which for my situation is better since it gives a bit for my swollen ankle and therefore is not too tight around the Achilles tendon.The other two brands had issues. Sneino brace had padding in the foot casing. While this seems good, it lifted the foot up and the heal was then raised above the shoe just enough to make it very uncomfortable.The other one I tried was from drug store. It had the velcro hook facing outward on the top strap of the ankle wrap. Also, this would not close fully around my ankle so the exposed velcro hook ruined pant hems and fabric.
