I purchased a 64GB M.2 MX400 SSD in January 2018 specifically for use with the Windows paging file. I actually need more memory as I've usually physically used up all 16GB with so many apps open - and they run out when I ran without a paging file since Windows took forever to open the replaced app. With an M.2 SSD containing a swap file, apps wake up fast enough for my impatience. Best of all, the SSD Scope reports 97% life remaining after 4955 hours and 700GB of writes. At this rate I have 18 years of my life left. Too bad I didn't have two M.2 slots for the second MTS400 - as I've found that Windows spreads paging file writes across multiple drives in small (4MB chunks) and is likely to wake up applications faster. - Update March 2021 - It's been over 3 years! Smart states that it has been used 24500 hours and has written 132 KB LBA (32 MB) and has 79% of its life left. I calculated that the total writable bytes is 20TB. Or "write to disk per day" (for 5 years) - 172! Much better than my main 500GB drive - no paging file activity - CT500MX500SSD1! 7725 hours, 18TB recorded and only 27% left. You are looking bad!
