I got mine almost a year ago and am very happy with it so far. I recommend using two tripods on the ends for better stability when using heavier cameras or when using cameras with accessories mounted on them. That's my attitude. I got a pair of Targus TG-P60T Black Label Professional 3 Way Panhead Level Pro Series 60" tripods for $40 each. These tripods work great with this slider. Tripods have a detachable head that attaches to a 3/8 screw on the tripod. Basically, you can press the two holes on the ends of the DryLin slider to insert the 3/8" tripod screws. This will give you better stability. Also, if you have a heavy front lens, I recommend you mount the camera on the 7" ePhoto Magic Friction Hot Shoe Mount for LED Panel, DSLR Monitor, 7ARM Mic Mount. This allows you to adjust the camera back so that the weight is evenly distributed and the gliding is smooth. Overall I am very happy with the slider and due to its versatility you can also convert it into a motorized slider, there are many DIY projects for that.
