Fits the 2017 9.7" iPad very well but I have to remove the thin gel case. The ballistic glass cover can stay. It's not as sturdy as my previous mount ($50 - broken) and you actually have to remove the screw on the bottom but at this price if it lasts a year I'm happy I wish it could be a little flatter without having to be disassembled for transport - very heavy I think , it can be tipped over on a lighter stand due to the longer arm than my previous mount. Positioning is fine for a portrait, haven't tried landscape yet. It should hold up to the occasional to moderate gig. If I've been to the week gigs I would make a backup. Of course there is duct tape.
