Well these bandanas have cute patterns and I like the strings on them, the price for 4 seemed like a bargain. However, being 100% cotton, the fabric needs to be pre-washed before sewing and this is where the problems start. Since I like my dog bandanas to be a bit shinier, I prewashed them before decorating them. After washing, they settled so that they could not be decomposed. I tried steam ironing them first, hoping I could get them back on a flat surface, but that didn't work. The fabric has shrunk about 1/4-1/2 inch, causing the seams to pucker and the edges to curl. I actually had to cut the seams and sew them back together. I really didn't plan on wasting that extra time. You might as well make them yourself and then decorate them at the end which I did with fabric paint and iridescent glitter, now they look festive.
