I have an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One X. The Xbox One X had a Game Ext hard drive connected to USB port 1 and Kinect was plugged into the USB 2 port on the back and a USB stick for the keyboard plugged into the USB port on the front. I wanted to connect an external video and photo data drive to my Xbox One. The Western Digital My Book Data external hard drive had to be connected directly to a port rather than through a hub or switch. So I connected the blue input of this switch to port 2 on the back, connected my Kinect to the output of this switch, and connected the USB dongle to the other output of this switch. I then plugged an external data drive into the USB port on the front of the Xbox. Since the green input of this switch was unused, I connected the front USB port of the XBox 360 to the green input of this switch. All XBox One X peripherals work great and if you toggle green input you can use the keyboard with the Xbox 360.
