Use as a simple two source video switcher for live broadcast

Purchased for use as a simple two source video switcher for use with the Epiphan Webcaster X2. Works fine when both sources are the same resolution (e.g. both 1080p or both 1080i), but produces erratic outputs when the input resolutions are different (one 1080i and one 1080p). Small and handy and works very well. I wish I could find a way to use the USB port to control the switch. If anyone figured this out, please let me know!
