At first I thought it was a good perch. Inexpensive, the right size for the cage and bird I have, and easy to set up. It was perfect for where I needed to be until last weekend. The bird wanted to play so I took the opportunity to clear out the cage and sanitize all the perches. This is where the problem arose with this perch. This perch is assembled exclusively with water-soluble glue. No nails, no screws, no epoxy. only water soluble glue. So if it was put in water and disinfectant. he collapsed. All steps are detached from the frame. The frame itself fell apart and fell apart. The glue has dissolved. I ended up having to put everything back together with hot glue so I could have a bird perch in that corner. I'm not happy with the perch, which I have to assemble with hot glue after a routine sanitization. For now I had to buy epoxy and will be taking the perch apart again to put back together with epoxy. I can't quite say that you should avoid this bar, but if you do buy one, either buy epoxy to use on all joints, attach everything with screws or nails, or never let water get inside. (And to be honest, even if it never got dirty, I'd still sanitize the quarters at least once a month to make sure the wood is bacteria-free.)
