I wouldn't consider this normal, it's quite aggressive and if you use the .

I wouldn't call this a good product, it's quite aggressive and unless you're removing heavy rust. I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to completely repaint what you're cleaning. Also loses quite a few bristles. Get what you pay for.
