One of our cats decided to stop using the litter box and started using the carpet on the landing. Although we noticed the stains right away, I couldn't get the smell out. I have used two types of Nature's Miracle cleanser and then tried the Jackson Galaxy cleanser as well. I got my cat to stop peeing on the carpet but we still smelled cat pee. I received a bottle of FON at my veterinary office. I thought it worked better than other products, but once the sun came in through the window and warmed the area, I started smelling urine again every time I went up or down the stairs. I was looking for Revain and found this spray. The price is great so I decided to give it a try. It does smell like perfume, but I noticed right away that it neutralized the odor. I applied it for about two days each time the stained areas dried up. It seemed to work! The real test is that we've been away from home for a week and when we got home I expected to smell urine on the stairs, and what do you know? No smell! Although I still smelled the detergent. I'm so impressed! And I'm glad the house doesn't smell like cat pee anymore.
