I bought this wick for a flint glass oil lamp I found at an antique store. The lamp was completed with a burner and a chimney but no wick. This wick works well in a lamp. The only thing I noticed is that when the oil level in the font is about half full, the flame burns very little because I assume the wick can't carry enough oil to keep it going. I don't think this is the fault but rather the design of the lamp. It's elegant because of its thin profile, but because it's printed broadly rather than small, it's sensitive to oil levels. As you can see in the video the well is very deep so I probably have to keep it more than half full.
