Review on Essential Straight Tip Calibrated Eyedropper Laboratory by Joshua Garris

Revainrating 4 out of 5

What do you expect from cheap drippers?

These are very good pipettes for most non-medical purposes. They are suitable for medical needs if you know what you are doing and do not have unrealistic expectations. When measuring a liquid with a full pipette, don't expect the total amount withdrawn to be absolutely accurate. Prepare the pipette by sucking and ejecting two or three times until you reach the draw to be measured. Look at the curved bottom of the liquid at the top (bottom of the meniscus) and make sure it is under the top of the grid. Measure within the full range indicated on the side. Do not measure from one end of the area to the other (from the very top to the very bottom). Note that liquid remaining on the walls of the pipette can cause the measurement to be incomplete if you expect absolute accuracy - the extent of the imperfection depends on the viscosity of the liquid. The people who make pipettes can't know the viscosity of every liquid you measure with pipettes. Don't overfill the eyedropper (above the top grid mark) as you don't know how much you have in it. Don't spray below the bottom line of the grate because you don't know how much is there either. If you need more precision, buy pipettes or pipettes from a science store and learn how to use them properly. good for measuring most thinner hobby paints and as a pressure washer for hobby airbrushes. They work well for any liquid you are measuring drop by drop (ignore the grid markings) and are accurate enough for most water or alcohol based compounds that use drop or grid markings. They are less accurate with oils and viscous liquids - the thicker the liquid, the less accurate the measurement - but will still work if you are measuring drop by drop. They come in a nice plastic case. After opening the case, don't expect them to slide back in easily unless you pull at least one out.
