NOT compatible with ALL RS232 communications

Product description claims to be 'compatible with all RS232 communications' - FALSE. If you only want RXD, TXD, RTS, CTS then this should work. But if you need DSR/DTR, it will NOT work. And the RTS/CTS lines cannot be changed to DSR/DTR for some reason; I tried it, it didn't work. It would be great to know this before you buy anything over $600.
