All observable bits travel through these cables at extremely high speeds. Faster than bits through smaller cables, that's for sure. And they are flat, the bits do not twist and do not cause dizziness to the point of vomiting. This creates an overload in the cable, which is bad. (It's a patch cord. It does what it's supposed to do)
