Bought a pair of these to shorten the power cords on the light bars under the cabinet. But they work. - The plugs are not polarized, but my light bars are polarized. I connected the plugs carefully and put a marker on the neutral side on the wall side of the plug and since I cut my cables to more or less precise lengths they can really only be connected in one direction (with a straight cable). above from the top outlet), but of course this is not an ideal solution. I couldn't get the connectors to completely cover the wires no matter how carefully I routed and inserted them into the grooves. I think it's close enough that there isn't a safety issue, but I can say it's not quite right.
