I bought this to replace an outdated G510 (standard membrane keys). This device is missing some features that I have never used. Instead, this keyboard features low-profile, clicky mechanical keys that I fell in love with instantly. I love typing so much I'll probably be replacing my other keyboards (both membrane and linear red switches) as well. I bought a refurbished unit and it arrived in pretty good condition. It was pure functionality. It has a little damage, but the overall design of the keyboard is so good that I hardly notice it. The damaged part is located at the junction of the volume control and the keyboard case. The volume wheel itself is housed in a plastic bracket that sits in a recess in the keyboard's metal frame. It looks like something fell on one side of the volume wheel and pushed it inward. The plastic on the back of the keyboard is slightly warped, but the frame and bracket appear intact. I only noticed this due to a small difference in height along the length of the volume knob. It drops by approx. 0.5 mm along the length of the approx. 6 cm long volume control, the damage does not affect the function and is only noticeable on closer inspection. I also can't say for sure if it was overlooked during the repair process or if it happened upon delivery. Because of the discount, I'm willing to lose sight of it. If you're looking for a TKL (keyless) model, you may need to upgrade to wireless. The G915 has a TKL version, but the wired G815 doesn't appear to be planned at the time of this review.
