Adams scales just don't hold up

I've had a GFK 165a for less than a year and the main circuit board has failed. Confirmed today by Adams Customer Service with a replacement cost of over $225. As we bought new old stock they don't cover these under warranty so I'll either have to buy a new motherboard/display or a new scale. These scales are not cheap and I have no plans to buy another Adams scale. After looking at a few other reviews from these and others tonight, I can see that Adams has a definite quality issue and I would recommend staying away from their scales. There are many excellent scales that last more than a year.
