Review on Vornado MD1-0002 Replacement Humidifier Wick (2-Pack), White - Long-lasting Moisture and Clean Air Solution by Danny Zapata

I bought these filters twice hoping maybe I just got a bad batch the first time. I also bought a different size for my other Vornado humidifier. After about the first week, the filter began to completely disintegrate, dry out, and turn brown. I tried flipping it and the second time I bought them I tried not to flip it. Every time, even when the water is full and the water is not allowed to leak out, the filter simply dissolves and no longer delivers moisture to the air. I even bought a humidistat to see if it would do anything and it absolutely doesn't. I have a Vornado canister. This is not my water because I bought other third party replacement filters that worked but didn't have stock so I figured it would be better to have an OEM version. I was wrong. It's very expensive for a single filter - $15 when the whole humidifier is only $69, now I've spent almost half the cost on the unit and need to buy more. I also have an energy efficient dual tank Vornado and I bought replacement Vornado filters for it and the same thing happened. I bought an off brand replacement and they work great and have a silver mesh so they won't fall apart and won't dry out or fall apart. I will be contacting Votnado directly for a refund as the Revain window is only 30 days which I missed by one day. I absolutely do not recommend these filters and with all the bad reviews I can't believe Revain is still selling them or that Vornado hasn't done anything to fix this. The first two photos show a single canister and the second is a devilish canister with non-varnado covers that work great. This is from Revain too
