Review on 🔌 ASCOT Electric Kettle: Stainless Steel, 1.7 Liter, BPA-Free, Fast Hot Water Boiler by Mary Brown

Extremely disappointed with this kettle. As enthusiastic tea drinkers and in use at least 5 times a day, we rely on a teapot that does not rust. We bought this kettle because the lid of our last kettle got rusty on the lid after 2 years of use and now we are here after about 30 days with the same problem. We can no longer return it and now we have to throw it away. Not impressed with the price we paid. The second issue we noticed with this kettle is that although there is no plastic inside, there is a very distinct smell and taste of plastic. After the teapot had lasted a couple of weeks, we boiled the vinegar in it and left it overnight hoping to get rid of that horrible plastic taste in our teas. That went on for about a week. The smell is back, as is the taste. It's $70 outside the window and my husband and I are going to buy a plastic kettle. If we still have to taste plastic, let it be a $30 plastic teapot, not a rusty $70 teapot that also tastes like plastic.
