This is a fantastic lens. All of the lenses in the Sigma Art series have been fantastic. Now I have 24mm, 35mm and 50mm. I currently have a Tamron 85 1.8 that will be replaced with a Sigma 85 1.4. That's how I liked my other devices. Fair warning, you'll need a USB docking station to update firmware on all of these devices. I had HUGE focus issues with all three prior to the firmware update. After the upgrade I had to do a very small camera calibration (+/- 3) to get everything absolutely clear. These adjustments were so minor that I chose to make them with my 5D IV when calibrating the camera to the lens rather than via the USB dock. It just made it easier. With a firmware update these things get a higher percentage of focus than most Canon L glasses I've owned and still own (at comparable apertures). As a person who can afford all the Canon L glasses, if I wanted to I would still buy them and not the Canon versions. The only thing that might bother me is when I need weather protection and don't. If weather protection isn't an issue for you and you're sure you have a USB dock for lens upgrade/calibration, that's no problem.
