Okay, so way back when the movie Up came out the Disney Stores sold a replica My Adventure Book book and I wanted one so badly but it was spendy and it sold out super quick. Disney Movie Rewards was giving one out too but it was smaller and spiral bound and not realistic looking so I passed on that. I always regretted not getting one of the good replicas from the Disney Store and then I saw this one. Now currently the Disney Store is selling a new one, but it does not have that weathered look to the cover and it has lined pages which is not realistic and it has some stuff preprinted on some of the pages, no thanks. BoxLunch is currently selling one too but it also has lined pages and images printed on the pages, though at least I do prefer the look of the cover on the BoxLunch one to the current Disney Store one. Now, this Pulaisen version of the book has the right kind of pages, just plain, and it has that nice weathered look to it with fake leather grain, and unlike the original 2009 Disney Store replica this one has the little earth taped on. This one is, however, missing the funky red patterned paper on the insides of the covers like it had in the movie, and it uses leather to tie it together instead of cord like in the movie. The biggest difference is that says "Our" instead of "My", and while from what I wrote above it may sound like this deviation from the movie would bother me it doesn't, I actually like it better because I wanted this for me and my husband together. This replica book comes in a very nice box which makes it great for gifting, and it comes with lots of stuff to get you started in putting your photos in it, none of which I wanted or will use. About half of the stuff it came with is nt movie related, but I do kind of like the Up related postcards it came with though I don't know what I would do with them. Anyway, great looking book, great price, great giftability.
